Hi,

I am planning a kit on making a Shive machine and doing experiments with
it. What experiments can I do? Here is my list:
1. Travelling waves, reflection from unclamped end.
2. Travelling waves, reflection from clamped end.
3. Superposition of pulses.
4. Standing waves
5. Impedance matching
6. Dependence of wavelength and speed on length of rods and distance
between rods
7. Frequency windows

Any other simple experiments? I do not want anything very complex, as the
shive machines would be made with spokes and sticky tape!

Also, there is a reference to a guide written by Shive. Any idea where it
would be available?
