I'm all in favor of technological advancement.
Tires have improved and will continue to improve.
This is a fairly radical jump (in price etc.).

I wonder how these will fair with road hazards such a piece of cast
off retread.
I even fear that these fairly common 'spoked' alloy rims are
susceptible to being taken out by having a piece of broomstick or
such flying into the spokes.

I used to do some work with a Highway Safety Research group - maybe
I'll ask then for info.
Anybody have any anecdotes?

(the plural of anecdote = data?)
