Our Physics by Inquiry guru worked with McDermott on that text. He
told me they tested several bulb types and found the #14 bulb made by
Philips was the best. Unfortunately, Philips stopped making that bulb, so
now we have to use #14 bulbs from another mfr which are not as good but
apparently still good enough. The nichrome wire used with the battery is
20 cm of 21 AWG...
