Subject: Term of Use for TAp-L was Re: Technical Competence?

All this does bring up some questions:

How do new subscribers find out the terms of use? I only remember the
no-attachment thing because I hosted images for so many years. What are
they anyway?

Also, where are our terms of use listed? Can an auto message be set up
to send out a copy of the rules to the list about every six months?

Can the list be set up to strip attachments?

Should we, after at least a decade, re-evaluate our attachment policy?
The two main reasons, if my memory serves, we don't allow them is 1)
hardware/software restrictions of some members, in particular reference
to download speed and 2) threats of viruses. Are these still
prohibitive? Can we, or better yet, should we, have an expectation of a
certain level of technology?

For in the end, we will conserve only what we love.
We will love only what we understand.
We will understand only what we are taught. - Baba Dioum
