Hi Taplers,
One of the experiments, the pinhole camera, in our optics (survey) lab requ=
ires total darkness except for the darkroom-type lamps. But at times when d=
arkness is not needed some feel that there is benefit to having plenty of n=
ature's wonderful, springtime, natural light in the lab room, and I suspect=
that some of them may be secretly just listening to the birds, too, but, t=
hen, there is the noise of the traffic.
Right now we have some (very) old rollup shades in channels, and we control=
them with bolts in their chains which pass over pulleys, so that they cann=
ot be fully rolled up, because if they could, then someone would let fly an=
d destroy a shade.
Does anyone have a "student and TA proof" arrangement which he or she highl=
y recommends?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
