All 9-volt batteries have not been created equal over the years.
Early ones tended to be a stack of six flat packs of zinc + goo +
carbon with a plastic wrapper shrunk around the stack.
More recent ones have been a collection of six parallel cylindrical
cells (sub-AAA size).
