I just had my student do the double slit experiment, they had to make their
own double slit on a slide. 2 razor blades with one as a spacer is .13 mm
(each blade is 0.65mm) you can get contractor blades that are an extra .1mm
thicker.

I sprayed aquadaq on biology slides. Then use a screw type hose clamp from
chemistry to hold the blades together,
The students then did 2 blades, 3 blades and 4 blades ( 2 slits with greate=
r
seperation)

Students were able to get the wavelength of the laser within 5%.

Hi
Taplers,

=A0

In
one of our labs they are needing double slits with known spacings, <=
/p>

in
the range of about 0.1mm to 0.2mm.

The
only usable double slit on the PASCO plates

is
the double slit on the multiple slits slide, at 0.125mm spacing.

=A0

(Sorry,
but I don=92t know why they are specifying this,

but
the TAs and instructor were in agreement about it.)

=A0

Any
ideas?

=A0

Many
thanks,
