I agree with you, Dick. I had a workshop participant make a Ruben's tube
who did not put any sort of dam between the tube and the speaker. The
gas diffused through the paper speaker -caught the cone on fire. Burned
all the paper cone away - flames - no explosion. We did cut the gas off
quickly, not wishing to duplicate the potato chip can experiment.
