I haven't used the sources you reference, but, if your planetarium is like
mine, you must have dozens of old 35-mm slide projectors around already. If
you don't, they should be cheap to buy. I think that is the least cost/best
performance solution,

Hi folks,

We have a new PIRA member with a tap-l inquiry. Could you respond to him
directly (as well as to tap-l if you wish)?

I am looking for the least cost-best performance light sources to set up a
demo in a small planetarium here that will show additive mixing of primary
light colors to get white light. I started shopping on line, then thought
I'd rather ask for experienced advice before spending my lab funds. ...
So, I went to the PIRA website and joined so that I could join in the
discussion forum.

Now I would like to ask if anyone in PIRA has experience with the
following light sources that will create white spots (that can be covered
with colored gels and focused to mix the colors), that can be seen in a
lecture hall or small dome that can hold around 100 people at most. - "Sho-Me" rechargeablt spot
light, $72.25

"Vector Sport Spot Light" , $41.03

VectorLite 2,000,000 Candle Power Rechargeable AC, DC Spot Light, $39.99

Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

All the best,
