HI John,

Good as any other placebo, but, perhaps more dangerous in cases of poor
"electrical supervision." For a good treatment of placebo effect, which
often heals with far less damage than prescription drugs, see Norman
Cousins' book Anatomy of an Illness. It's a quick little read, is intensely
interesting, and is powerful for improving one's ability in self-care. He
bridges the alternative and mainstream philosophies. A quick shot would be
the book reviews on Amazon.com.

Y'all are not going to believe this, but there are a bunch of quacks
charging people $17/ min to sit in front of a tesla coil in order to get
vibrationally healed and get exposed to "biophotonic" light. Here are
links to an article in the "health issue" of a weekly newspaper, and a
link to the home page of "Vibe Works". I guess preying on desperate
people like this has been going on for a long long time, but this one
makes me particularly angry.
