I just recently did this demo both with a zinc plate and a piece of
galvanized sheet metal. I got the zinc plate from our machine shop guy,
and it was probably older than him. The galvanized metal was cut from a
tie plate (or mending plate), similar to what holds trusses together. Got
it at the local lumberyard. Don't forget to polish it first...
