Doug, I just ordered an old style windup stopwatch from McMaster-Carr
for the demo.
Joe thanks for kicking me in the A-- and getting this demo to the
forefornt of my somewhat feeble mind again. Zig

PS.. I will write Joe directly concerning this.

Joe, it was Doug Johnson at Denver, and I still need to
set
one up here. Zig

Hi Tappers,

I think it was at the Rochester, New York AAPT meeting that someone
demonstrated impulse using a pocket watch with a main-spring movement.
They glued a small mirror on the glass and pointed a laser into the
mirror. The laser spot was projected from the mirror to the wall of
the lecture hall as the watch reacted to the main-spring movement. It
was a very nice demo. I am sorry to say that I don't remember who
brought that demo to the workshop, please forgive me for that
oversight, but I would like to know if that person would be willing to
share a write-up of that demo. Thanks in advance.

Joe
