Subject: Train Collision Video
Hi Dale,
I'm trying to track down video footage of an intentional steam
locomotive collision that I believe took place at the Iowa State Fair
pre-WWII. Do you know the clip I'm talking about, and even better, do
you happen to have a copy? I'm trying to find some good non-car crash
collision videos for our unit on momentum, and that clip would be pretty
cool. I did get a pretty cool link to a government site on
crashworthiness that had some nice video footage of modern train crash
tests
http://www.volpe.dot.gov/sdd/crashworthy.html
but the clip with the big steam engines would be more impressive ( I
have no idea how it didn't make in onto the cinema classics discs!)
Thanks,
Matt Harding
