There is a job opening for an experienced machinist in the Chemistry Department at Brown.

Job Title:
Senior Instrument Maker

Job Decsription:
The mechanical fabrication and repair of a wide variety of scientific instruments using many different materials and techniques, often to very precise tolerances.



Job Qualifications:

Must be able to work with a wide variety of standard machine tools & machine shop equipment and a wide variety of metals and plastics. Experience with CNC machine and Centroid systems. Must be able to construct apparatus from blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions and work to close tolerances. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Organizational skills to manage and prioritize diversified tasks.



Salary: Between $30,000 and $56,000.

Full time, Full benefits package with good retirement plan.
