We used to do this demo with the sodium polyacrylate. My notes say 1
capful (1 3/8" ID x 5/16") holds ~ 250ml of water. I stopped using it
because it was expensive and a disposal headache. We use preformed sponges
in the bucket now. I wonder, is the diaper insert reusable, Eric? Does
your wife think she's losing her marbles when the diaper bin comes up short?
