Post:

I think that THE SILENT MAJORITY IS NEITHER.... as the 60's saying
goes. It is neither silent nor is it the majority.

I think that AAPT has been silent for too long, and I am pleased that
it is *NOT* trying to appear to be a private club with whom its
members are ashamed to identify...or is it?

So, enjoy the pin. But figure out your own way to be more visible to
your legislature (or to the private corporation to whom it answers).
You asked... Karl

>Recently, I received a small mailing tube containing an AAPT lapel pin.
>Did you all receive one too?
>I wonder what it cost to have the pins made and to mail them out.
>I also wonder whether the money could have been used in a better way.
>What do you all think?

I rather enjoy the t-shirt...which I wear to work...and can point out
that my department's money was used to get MY name on the list of
contributing speakers on the shirt. ;-) They even spelled it right,
which is better than most of my family can do!

I got one, too. I don't what they cost to mail.

Better spent? I could probably think of something I would use more, but
I am not a lapel pin kind of guy.
