George,

Yes, I received the pin last week, just a couple of days after I discovered
that I hadn't left the pink member information update sheet at Madison,
where they would have given me the pin at the booth. When I first saw the
sheet, I thought that maybe only us relative old-timers (I joined in 1966)
were getting them, but then I figured out that I wasn't in any sort of
elite group, and that this was a way to encourage us to turn in the
sheet. AAPT has issued pins at least once before, and I still have that
one in my desk.

I agree that one could raise questions about resource allocations.

Dennis

Recently, I received a small mailing tube containing an AAPT lapel pin.
Did you all receive one too?
I wonder what it cost to have the pins made and to mail them out.
I also wonder whether the money could have been used in a better way.
What do you all think?
