Hi Duane,
Eventhough you didn't ask me, I have to say that Boise was just a
wonderful place to have the AAPT Summer Conference. I attend both last
year and the previous time and both meetings were outstanding. Dorms were
great, food was good, all the other activities were excellent, including
the off campus experiences. The Demo Show was excellent too! The
Discovery Center is the nicest I have seen in a long time. In fact, it has
improved tremendously over the last 9 years. I would give Boise a very
high rating. I really prefer the on campus atmosphere and just seeing how
other universities function. It helps me see how my own campus could
improve or where our strengths are. It is an education just to walk upon
the campus and see all there is to see.

My two cents worth! ...Doug J.

Hello to all that are coming for the AAPT

I thought I would give a quick weather report for the week.
We are expected to get rain today through tomorrow.
Friday is hit or mess raining, mainly in the evening.
Saturday and Sunday look pretty good, if not great.
As far as I can tell, Monday through Thursday there is an increasing chance
of thunderstorms. Only time will tell.

Lately we've been very dry, hot, and humid. Otherwise a normal July.
The humidity is going to be climbing a little bit from what I've been able
to find out. Probably ended in the mid 60 percents. Our average
temperatures so far has been in the upper 70's to the mid 80's, with light
to moderate wind. evenings cool down to upper 60's to the mid or lower 70's.

For for those members that will be working in Sterling Hall for the
weekend. Be warned, are building has no A/C and can get pretty warm at
times. Well, I shouldn't say that it in doesn't have no A/C. It's just
that it's in certain areas.

Duane, I agree with Doug. Boise and BSU are the greatest.

I have to agree with all of you Boise does a marvellous job, however hauling the
my Demo area in a 20ft trailer is a lot of work. Zig
