Subject: Yet Another 'Scope Question

I am (slowly) learning how to use the Tek TDS-210 'scope.
How do I blank the display w/o powering down?
If I have a waveform displayed, it will become dimmer if I adjust
the trigger level or make any other change that would affect
its interpretation. But how do I actually get rid of the display.

I am using the 'scope to display the waveform in a magnetic induction lab.
I run a magnet through a coil & show the students the resulting
waveform. After the first time, the screen is not blank when I
start. This is confusing to the students (& to me, too).
