This is an idea based on a chaos pendulum I've seen, a circular
pendulum with a magnetic bob and movable magnets on the base. I think we
talked about this pendulum a couple years back. To turn this into an
interactive exhibit, replace some or all of the movable magnets with
switchable electromagnets. Folks can change the path of the magnetic bob
by switching the polarity of the electromagnets or switching them on and
off. Some way would have to be provided for them to start the pendulum
swinging...
