I saw that movie (under duress) when it came out and I couldn't make sense
out of any of it. Still can't: apparently it has deep meaning to everyone
but me. But they posted a bit of a discussion about the decompression in
the movie. It doesn't tell us if the director's assertation was valid,
but it does tell us that they gave the matter a lot of thought.
