I was just looking at this and the closest demo I found was 1R20.39 -
squeeze the bottle. 1R50.45 - crushing salt, is almost the same thing.
There appear to be lots of demos for tensile and shear stress, but only one
for bulk modulus. Perhaps it's not easy to uniformly squeeze something.
Example 12.7 in Serway is about a lead ball at depth in the ocean. Is
there a really soft substance that could be immersed in a tall tube of
water that would visibly compress?
