Our next meeting will take place at Sewickley Academy, on November 11,
1999 - a Thursday. The meeting time will be the usual 6:30 pm. This
meeting will focus on demonstrations and resources for physics teachers
(including books and online resources). We would LOVE to have you
present one or many of your favorite demonstrations at this meeting.
Please contact Sean Lally if you will be attending, and also if you are
interested in presenting demos.

This meeting will be ESPECIALLY helpful for new physics and physical
science teachers. Please share this information with your science

Physics Olympics

As in years previous, the 2000 Physics Olympics will be held on
Presidentís Day, February 21, 2000. Location is yet to be determined,
though Sewickley Academy will host it if no others schools are able.

There will NOT be a separate mass mailing for this event, so you should
contact Sean by early January if you are interested in attending with
your students. If you are a dues-paying member, you will be reminded.
You do not need to be a member to attend, but you do to receive updates
about HSPTA activities.

See you next month.
