I've added a 5th video of the glass and ball being dropped without
any water in the glass. There is no detectable bounce at all!

Clearly the water's motion caused by the sudden deceleration is
what propels the ball upwards. I would love to see a
good explanation of this. As Gordon Smith states, I'm "interesting
fundamentals here."
