Description: Charge the wash tub using either the Dirod or Van De Graaff generator. Use the small grounding sphere and rub it around the inside of the wash tub making lots of noise. Now touch the electroscope to show no charge is present. Rub the grounding sphere around the outside of the wash tub and touch the electroscope again. Charge is present. Make sure you ground the wash tub when finished. Quant. in Demo Room: 1 |
