Description: Quantitative studies of the motion of a body on an inclined plane can be made quickly with this apparatus. A cart is pulled up the inclined plane by a mass suspended over a pulley at the top of the incline. Instructions: The ramp will be placed near the edge of the table. Adjust the inclined plane to the desired angle. The cart has a mass of 575.5 grams so add mass to the string accordingly. Mass can also be added to the cart. Hazards: Beware of foot placement should the hanging mass drop Parts: Inclined plane w/ pulley the cart a string hanging masses, or a mass hanger and slotted masses a stopwatch can be included if requested Setup Time: 5 min Quant. in Demo Room: 1
