Description: This demonstration involves a ping pong ball and an evacuated PVC pipe. The ends of the pipe are sealed by sheets of Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty aluminum foil (with the ball inside). The air is then evacuated and as the bottom layer is punctured, the ball is forced out of the top end of the cannon by air rushing in from the bottom. A single ping pong ball can come out dangerously fast. It is recommended that you use 6-10 ping pong balls reducing the muzzle velocity and increasing the effect by bouncing ping pong balls all over the place. Hazards: Balls are traveling in excess of 100 mph when leaving the gun. Load the gun with at least 6 ping pong balls. Aim the gun so that the balls will bounce off of 3 walls before flying into the crowd. The reflections and terminal velocity will slow the balls sufficiently before they strike any spectators. Also watch the back of the gun. It is possible for the gun to back fire. Purchased/Built: built Setup Time: 3 hours Quant. in Demo Room: 1
