Description: An excellent demonstration for showing constant velocity. The blower is a little loud, but you can talk over it. See notes! Instructions: Track should be set and leveled by the demoroom staff when you arrive. Power up the air supply and adjust the flow until the carts just start to rise on the jets of air. You are now ready to demonstrate velocity. Hazards: None. Parts: Pasco air track 1 or 2 air cart Air supply w/hose Quant. in Demo Room: 1 Demo References The Video Encyclopedia of Physics Demonstrations Disc 01-08 Dots are superimposed on the screen every half second to mark the position of the air glider.
