Description: An internal capacitor in this flashlight is charged by shaking the flashlight back and forth (with moderate force). When this is done, an internal magnetic is forced back and forth through a coil. The induced current in the coil then powers the capacitor. A rectifier circuit is used to convert the AC current from the coil to DC before it is connected to the capacitor.
