Description: Turn yourself around on a rotating stool by rotating a mass on a short rope. Approximately 1 Kg of mass is attached to a 40 cm rope. Spin the mass around your head as a cat would spin its tail. Show that a cat can flip from its back to its feet while its total angular momentum remains equal to zero. Hazards: Make sure the rope is in good condition. You do not want the masses flying into the audience. Check for clearance so you do not hit a monitor, computer or student. Purchased/Built: built Setup Time: 10 min Quant. in Demo Room: 1
