Description: A slit and a line are used to show the spectrum and its complement. Instructions: Place the Babinet's slide on the overhead projector. Using either the Project Star grating or the Water Prism, the visible spectrum will be visible to the students from the slit. A line with the same width as the slit is aligned with the slit. A complemetary spectrum is produced just above the full spectrum from the slit.
