Description: A bank of 6 5600 microfarad capacitors is charged up to 20 volts using a power supply, or, upon request, up to 45 volts using a bank of 9 volt batteries. Discharge with Aluminum bar to show the large spark and discuss the energy stored inside a capacitor. Instructions: When using the power supply, make sure the voltage is between 0-16 volts and the voltage knob is turned up the whole way to get maximum charge on the capacitors. Hazards: Please short the capacitor when finished! Purchased/Built: built Setup Time: 1 hour Quant. in Demo Room: 1 |
