Description: This demonstration shows the gravity has the same effect on all objects whether they are dropped, or projected. If both balls start with the same vertical velocity, that no matter what the horizontal velocity, they will land at the same time. Instructions: This demo will be mounted, loaded, cocked and balanced. Push the lever up until it clears the small pins, which will allow the spring to launch/drop the balls. This spring is *very* tough to compress, particularly in class, so this is pretty much a one shot demo. Hazards: The launched ball does not travel that fast or far, but the balls are heavy, so watch your feet and nearby students. Parts: Ball launcher Right angle clamp Table clamp with rod attachment 2 large bocce balls Purchased/Built: built Quant. in Demo Room: 1
