Hero's Engine

Description: Show that the momentum of the steam is countered by the spinning of the Hero's Engine.

Instructions: Place a small amount of water in the bottom of the flask. Suspend it over a flame. When the water begins to boil, the steam will be driven out of the arms giving the apparatus a torque.

Hazards: This demo WILL BURN YOU if you are not careful. It shoots steam out in all directions. You should try this demonstration in the demoroom before using it for the first time in a classroom.
