Description: This is very similar to 1J10.25 Center of Gravity of a Broom but this one allows the object to be adjusted to see if the technique still works. Instructions: Place the meter stick on your fingers as they are seperated by a large distance. Slide your fingers towards each other and you fingers will meet at the center of gravity. Now add a hat, helmet or other such object to one end and try again. Quant. in Demo Room: 5 Demo References The Physics Teacher TPT 10(8),469 Instead of moving the masses on the beam, move the scales under the beam. Same as bringing your fingers together under the meter stick.
