Description: This simple demonstration shows centripetal force as the tension in the string as the ball is whirled around. Instructions: Twirl in a vertical circle so the students can see the path of the ball. Hazards: Be careful that no student (or instructor/demonstrator) is in the path of the ball as it's is whirled.
