Description: The force of the electromagnetic interaction between a coil and a magnet can be shown with this demonstration. A large coil is suspended over a powerful magnet. The demonstrator switches on a current through the coil and the class observes a rotation of the coil. This rotation aligns the magnetic field generated by the electric current with the magnetic field created by the magnet.
